My Short story 'Dear Little Emmie' has been published in an online magazine called ' New Fairy Tales'. A big thank you to Claire for making it all happen and for doing such a great job on the magazine.
You can have a look at it on www.newfairytales.co.uk it is in issue no.5
Dear Little Emmie is a story that I have been working on for around four years. It started when I was taken by a friend on a spooky tour of Lewes. She took me to a small graveyard behind a lovely little church, some of the head stones were beautifully carved and covered in moss, it was here that I came across a tiny hidden cross, almost completely swamped by the tall grass around it. All that was written on it was, My Dear Little Emmie.
This sparked off the idea and I started straight away on a painting of little Emmie in the swampland. A good friend of mine, Lee Westwood, saw the painting and wrote a piece of music to acompany it, Dear Little Emmie From his Album ,To Sleep. I then made a sculpture to match the painting and music and in 2007 I illustrated the whole story to complete the package.
Dear Little Emmie is a fifty piece Illustrated story with no words, the narative must be followed through the Illustrations.
I hope you enjoy it.
